Safety Standards for "Future You" Mobile App

2. Prohibited Content and Activities

The following content and activities are strictly prohibited on Future You:

2.1 Harassment and Hate

• Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any user
• Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Threats of violence or encouragement of harm to others
• Doxxing or sharing others' personal information without consent

2.2 Harmful Content

• Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
• Graphic violence or gore
• Content promoting dangerous activities or challenges
• Misinformation that could cause harm

2.3 Illegal Activities

• Content that violates any applicable laws
• Promotion or sale of illegal goods or services
• Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
• Intellectual property infringement

2.4 Spam and Manipulation

• Spam, phishing, or unsolicited promotional content
• Fake accounts or impersonation
• Manipulation of engagement metrics
• Coordinated inauthentic behavior

2.5 Adult and Explicit Content

• Sexually explicit or pornographic content
• Nudity (except in non-sexual educational or artistic contexts)
• Sexual solicitation

2.6 Off-Topic Content

• Content unrelated to goals, achievements, or personal growth
• Excessive self-promotion or advertising
• Political campaigning or propaganda

3. Child Safety Standards

The safety and well-being of minors is a top priority. Future You has a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behavior that endangers children.

3.1 Age Requirement

Future You is intended for users aged 16 and older. Users under 16 are not permitted to create accounts or use the App.

3.2 Strictly Prohibited

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
• Grooming, predatory, or exploitative behavior toward minors
• Content sexualizing minors in any way
• Sharing personal information about minors without parental consent
• Any content that endangers the physical or emotional well-being of children

3.3 Reporting and Enforcement

We immediately and permanently ban any user found violating child safety standards. We report all instances of CSAM and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities.

4. Mental Health and Well-being

As a goal-tracking app, users may share personal struggles and challenges. While we encourage authentic sharing, please be aware:

• Future You is not a mental health service or crisis intervention platform
• Content promoting self-harm or suicide is prohibited and will be removed
• If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a mental health helpline

5. Reporting Violations

5.1 How to Report

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Safety Standards, please report it using:

• In-App: Use the "Report" button available on posts, comments, and user profiles
• Email: Contact us at futureyou.goals.app@gmail.com

5.2 What Happens When You Report

• All reports are reviewed by our moderation team
• Child safety reports are prioritized and reviewed immediately
• We may contact you for additional information if needed
• Reports are kept confidential to protect reporters from retaliation

6. Enforcement Actions

Violations of these Safety Standards may result in the following actions, depending on the severity and frequency of violations:

• Warning: A notice that your content or behavior violated our standards
• Content Removal: Removal of specific posts, comments, or other content
• Temporary Suspension: Temporary restriction of account access
• Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from the platform
• Legal Action: Reporting to law enforcement where required or appropriate

Serious violations, including child safety violations, may result in immediate permanent bans without prior warning.

7. Appeals Process

If you believe an enforcement action was taken against your account in error, you may submit an appeal by contacting us at futureyou.goals.app@gmail.com.

Please include your username and a detailed explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect. Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Our decision on appeals is final.

8. Our Rights and Disclaimers

8.1 Right to Moderate

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, review, edit, or remove any content at our sole discretion, for any reason, without notice. We may also suspend or terminate any account at any time.

8.2 No Obligation to Monitor

While we strive to maintain a safe environment, we do not and cannot review all content posted on the platform. We are not responsible for content posted by users and make no guarantees about the accuracy, safety, or appropriateness of user-generated content.

8.3 User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for the content they post and their interactions with other users. By using Future You, you acknowledge that you may be exposed to content that you find offensive or objectionable, and you agree that we are not liable for any such content.

8.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FUTURE YOU AND ITS OWNER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM USER CONTENT, USER INTERACTIONS, OR ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS TAKEN UNDER THESE SAFETY STANDARDS.

9. Changes to Safety Standards

We may update these Safety Standards from time to time. Changes will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Future You after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated standards.
